Whispering Horse in Arizona. This 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS fell victim to an engine bay fuel leak that resulted in the loss of its 2.9 liter V8 and much of the rear bodywork in a subsequent fire. The car has since been acquired by SoCal-based Electric GT, who have not only restored it, but also fitted the engine bay with a trio of high-output electric motors good for a combined 330 HP and matching torque figure in lb. ft. Range is given as 150 miles, and top speed as 185 MPH–both pretty impressive. Overall it looks like a high-quality build, and however we may feel about losing the traditional Ferrari soundtrack, instantaneous torque combined with this shape and virtually zero maintenance is very compelling. Find it here at Barrett Jackson who will oversee its no-reserve auction sometime between January 13th – 21st, 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
