60 Series Land Cruisers are quickly appreciating in value as a collectible and will never go out of style, and as a rule are one of the most robust and reliable vehicles ever made! That being said, 2F and 3FE straight six engines are underpowered and inefficient with parts that are expensive and scarce, not to mention most of these vehicles still on the road have clocked over 100,000 miles. A GM V8 swap is always a great option, but is already the engine update of the past. The GTe-353 ??System is Electric GT’s premium, high power dual motor Conversion System that redefines EV retrofitting. Featuring the latest in consumer EV technology, this 260hp, 350ft/lbs system will transform a wide variety of classic vehicles into EV hot rods. Performance will be roughly equivalent to an ICE engine with double the horsepower (yes, double), and a range of 100-200 miles *depending on application and battery selection*. The footprint is roughly that of a larger V8, with 25kWh Energy Modules, all controllers, chargers and accessories right there under the hood. ??
This system is available with various GTe-Energy Module configurations to best fit your application. All requisite EV infastructure and components. The system is bench tested and ready to run!??
As a bonus, this system drops right in, and is compatible with all Land Cruiser ??H41, H42 and H55F Land Cruiser transmissions (62 Series with automatic A440F transmission will require a conventional manual transmission conversion). Factory pedals, clutch components and transfer case are all retained, keeping the bomb proof drivetrain that make the Land Cruiser famous in place. Also included are additional EV instrumentation, as well as provisions to connect the factory gauge cluster and 12v systems. The system itself is bench tested prior to shipment and ready to run. Installation easier than a v8 swap, with no special high voltage or fabrication skills needed. Power steering and brakes, HVAC and vacuum pumps for factory brake boosters and transfer case operation are also available!
