There’s an American outfit called Electric GT that offers conversion kits for classic cars like the first generation Ford Mustang and Porsche 911 as well as the 1966-1985 Fiat 124, Ferrari 308 and our personal favourite, the Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser.
All are fully electric, with the motors and batteries fitting within the original design. The main housing for the GTe-253 even looks like a vintage V8. It does mean you’re not going to see ranges rivalling what Tesla offers but Tesla can’t match the lines of those classic cars.
